What the file has to contain
These are the documents the authorities expect for the lead route. This is a reference list, not an eligibility check: whether any one item is met depends on your own situation. Items marked for apostille must be legalized before they will be accepted.
Fixed country list. Original launch (from 1 Jul 2023): Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea, Taiwan, United Kingdom, United States. Later expanded (verify current list) to add Brazil, Israel, Mexico, Singapore.
Highly qualified IT specialist; marketing specialists added in a later expansion. Proof of qualification/experience required.
Income of at least 1.5x the average gross monthly wage; CZK 73,823/month for May 2026 - April 2027.
Letter confirming inclusion in the Digital Nomad Program; enables fast-track consular processing but is not itself the visa.

Czechia is a party to the Hague Apostille Convention. Foreign public documents used in the visa file (above all the criminal-record/police-clearance certificate, and civil-status documents if requested) must be authenticated by apostille and accompanied by an officially certified translation into Czech. Documents issued by Czech authorities (e.g. the Trade Licensing Register extract) need no apostille or translation. Some consulates accept bank statements in English without translation.

- Being included in the program and holding a long-term visa does not by itself create Czech tax residency (determined by 183+ days, habitual abode, or centre of vital interests). Self-employed participants who register a Czech trade licence become OSVC and can use the lump-sum expense scheme (60% expenses for most trades) or the flat-rate tax regime (pausalni dan); check Financni sprava for current bands.

- Fast-tracked relative to the standard route; practitioners cite roughly 45 days for the consular decision after MPO inclusion (versus up to 90-120 days for a standard long-term visa).

Zivno is much more difficult to get than the D7. Be aware that the D7 is for passive income only.
@mpo_tweetuje 路 2025-01-23. The Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade announced that as of 1 Jan 2025 the Digital Nomad Program is more accessible, adding marketing specialists and new eligible countries (Israel, Singapore, Brazil, Mexico), with 45-day long-term visa processing for applicant and family.
