Package price against per-session price

In Türkiye the dominant basis is an all-inclusive package that covers grafts up to donor capacity. In Mexico the figure is a per-session fee, from clinics in Tijuana, Mexico City and Cancún that serve US patients.

Turkish clinics usually quote packages by graft count, per the MedTraveling tracker. Ask every clinic for the graft count, the technique and the inclusions in writing, then compare.

The US figure is a self-pay session of about 2,000 to 3,000 grafts at $4 to $8 a graft, per the note on our row, not a bill that includes complications.

The savings against a US quote

Against the US figure, Türkiye saves $8,200 and Mexico $6,500 at the typical prices; Mexico runs $1,700 above Türkiye.

The ranges overlap, so a high Turkish quote can cost more than a low Mexican one. Flights, lodging and follow-up care are not in any of these figures.

Where these figures come from

Each row comes from a commercial clinic or agency page, not the Medical Tourism Association index behind our main price table, so we checked each against a second, independent source.

Türkiye: shifamhealth.com, and MedTraveling, typical $2,500 to $4,000 across 22 published provider quotes, full spread $1,380 to $9,000. Mexico: trusthairmedical.com, and PlacidWay, typically $3,000 to $5,000. United States: curemeabroad.com, and RealSelf, average $11,229 from 1,384 patient reviews.

Before you book

Get the full quote in writing before you travel, including who performs each step, and plan who handles your follow-up once you are home.

The hair transplant price table puts both countries against the rest of the countries we price.

Know before you go

Patterns that come up over and over when people share how their trip actually went. Worth reading before you book anywhere.

Aftercare is on you

You fly home before you have fully healed. If something needs attention later, a surgeon in your own country often will not touch another clinic’s work. Plan who handles your follow-up, and budget for a second trip in case you need one.

Watch for in-theatre upsells

A price agreed by message can grow once you are on the table or already in the chair. Get the full quote in writing before you travel, ask what is not included, and treat a number that keeps moving as a reason to slow down.

Vetting that lives only on WhatsApp is a red flag

A real clinic has an address, a landline, and reviews you can read. If everything runs through one WhatsApp or Instagram account and no verifiable business sits behind it, walk. Confirm the clinic exists before you send a deposit.

Do not pick on price alone

The cheapest walk-up quote is rarely the one people are glad they took. Weigh the surgeon’s record and the clinic’s reviews first, then the price. Saving a few hundred dollars is a poor trade against a result you have to live with.
