Starlink Roam

also called Starlink roaming · Starlink mobility plan · Starlink for RVs (related product naming)

Consumer satellite internet plans from Starlink designed for use while traveling rather than only at one fixed address.

Right, in plain English

Starlink Roam is the version of Starlink's satellite internet meant for people who move around, rather than for one fixed home address. It can bring a usable connection to remote camps and rural stays where local networks fall short. The trade-offs are the regional rules on where a plan works, the power the dish draws, and how easy the hardware is to pack and carry.

You base yourself somewhere rural where the local signal barely holds a call, and Starlink Roam gives you enough connection to actually work. The catch you plan around is powering the dish off-grid, and checking that your plan is cleared to work in the region you have parked yourself in.

Why it matters

Enables work from remote camps and rural stays, subject to regional plan rules, power needs, and hardware portability.
